January 2017

*** Happy New Year!!! 2017 is the year of many albums.

*** Recommending a new online radio station… NEWT RADIO!!!
I grew up in Sussex County, NJ. The local college radio was WNTI and had quite possibly, the absolute best programming I’ve ever had the pleasure to tune into. Such great programs! Well, Mel Theil, aka “The Dawn Bird” was one of the many precious DJ’s that kept unique, great music alive for the surrounding areas. The station was sold and there has been a disheartening void in my radio dial every time I cross the NY/NJ state line. Beginning next week, Mel ( and other former WNTI DJ’s such as Amy the Rock N Roll Doctor, Mike Waterson, etc. ) will launch a new online station with similar formatting in conjunction with the Newton Theatre, which is a midlevel concert stop for many great touring acts.  Tune in 7-11am to hear Mel specifically beginning next Tuesday.
